Anyone watch the Fiesta Bowl?
I was happy to see BSU pull it out, trick play and all. I thought it would have been a much better game than it actually was.
My Hokies play the Broncos next year in an out of conference game. I am looking forward to the matchup.
Now I just get to root against GT tonight in the Orange!
Re: Anyone watch the Fiesta Bowl?
I caught most of it. I, too, thought it was going to be better than it was.
I wanted TCU to win.
Tonight I'm cheering on GT! (DH and all of his family are huge Iowa fans so it is going to get interesting..)
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
Yeah, it was a major snoozefest. I expected much more out of two so-called offensive powerhouses.
Oh, well.
ETA: I was impressed with Boise State's defense, especially its pass coverage. That poor TCU QB had nowhere to throw the entire game...except to Boise State's secondary, apparently.
Why do you want your conference to lose?
Just because their win over VT (and our loss the following week) cost us a chance at the ACC title. In the long run, it would be good for the ACC but that doesn't really make my bitterness go away.
Huh. I would be more annoyed at my team for losing the game. (See WVU vs. Pitt, December 1, 2007.)
I really like Boise State, so I'm glad they won, but it wasn't a very exciting game. I eventually watched other things and just flipped back to see the score.
I did however learn last night that Oregon State opens with TCU and Boise State next season. OSU typically takes a few games to get in their groove, so these will be tough, tough games.
