Need inspiration for a housewarming party
I'm starting to plan our housewarming party, and I'm in serious need of some inspiration. any ideas? thanks.

I didnt really have a theme.
Mine was in August in AZ, so it was hot. We kept the food light and fun. I had a build your own taco station, Shrimp Ceviche, Fruit kabobs, gaucamole, chips and salsa, and I did a pony keg of beer and sangria. Oh and margarita cup cakes....so I guess maybe the food had a theme, lol
What is your favorite kind of food? You could do food around that...
Or if you or DH are from a different city other than the one you live in you could make something from that area?
Do you like wine? Wine and cheese party?
For mine I just catered and then I really like the damask pattern, but didn't use it for my wedding since I thought it was overwhelming and I found some cute plates/napkins at Target and decorated around that theme
Meatballs/Sausages - 1 box + can of grape jam + 1 can chili (put it in a slow cooker) and its a great warm item without having to stand by a stove or oven.
I like to pick up catering menus at large grocery chains and try and duplicate what they have on the plates, sometimes it saves me some costs - but other times, they have awesome and tasty platters that I end up just buying them.
My advice is to have food that you can "save" if people don't end up eating everything or put on the table at last minute if you have a lot of hungry people.
