You know what's a depressing board?

TTC After 35.

I went there to see what they talk about and, FFS, everyone is already onto heroic fertility measures. No one over 35 starts TTC the old fashioned way? Or is it that you can't start internet chatting about it until you've moved onto IUIs and IVFs? Also, and this may sound mean, but man, they're a board of fail. Not just the conception thing, they're just so negative in general.

I'll not be wandering there anymore.

most of the TTC boards (save for plain ol' BOTB) are depressing.

After 35 you can move on to a Reproductive Endocrinologist after only 6 months. I think most people start out on the general pregnancy boards regardless of age and only move on to the more specific boards if it looks like they are going to have trouble.  And yeah, infertility boards are rather depressing.

I went there once, because I'm approaching 35 and H thinks it is going to be easy as all get out to conceive and I wanted to know if it was really as bad as all that. Yeah, that board convinced me that yes, it is THAT BAD. Skeerd the shitout of me.

See, I didn't know it was an infertility board. I stupidly thought it was a board of women who were trying to conceive after 35. I don't know anyone who's gotten a hole-in-one, but they weren't infertile either.

You know, I still think that I have a good 6 years.

Ok. 5 years.

I still have to meet him, get married, have some alone married time, and then start that train. Yeah, I'm extending my window to 42-43.

I have a friend who is a brittle diabetic, has crohns and all sorts of allergies and is over 35. She's knocked out 2 kids with no problems conceiving.
