Hey Scarlett . . .

Ali just posted this on the pets board, and I know you'd mentioned feeding L pancreas?

This website has it, but they don't have prices.  http://www.greentripe.com/

I don't know what I want you to do with it.  : )  But I guess now you know it's out there if you didn't already know!

Re: Hey Scarlett . . .

  • Thank you! Yes, I know about these guys-we've had great success with freeze dried pancreas for Leo-the raw stuff freaks me out bc I cant see the farm where its made and then they have to ship it, which is expensive. With organ meat, its really important that its very 'clean' bc Leo is extra succesptible to food-borne illness with EPI.

Is another pestie dealing with EPI?? Whats their name? I can offer support-its a scary as hell diagnosis. Our vet had started talking to us about terminal care bc they were an idiot.  Long story, lol. Daisy knows :)

Anyway, a lot of peeps use greentripe-I'm sure they're awesome.

  • Cool, I'm glad you knew they were out there.  It was Alisha posting the link for someone who is thinking about going raw for her pet, not someone with epi.  I can't believe your vet was talking about terminal care!
  • Yeah. She'd never seen a case before-I pretty much had to diagnose him myself. Then, the only veterinary medicine available was 400 per month, which would have been REALLY hard to afford. I had to do tons of research before I found a people supplement that we only need to buy every 6 weeks for 100. My vet was pretty much useless in this ordeal...so I would love to be a resource for anyone who was just diagnosed.

  • I'm glad you were able to figure stuff out for her.  Maybe she should pay you for the knowledge in case she ever sees another patient.  You could totally do consultant work for her.  Wink  I'm glad L is doing well.  : )
