YAY! Cheaper flight to OHIO
A flight from Wichita to Cincy was going to be over $400
, but if I fly out of KC (a 3-hour drive) it's only $200!
Re: YAY! Cheaper flight to OHIO
I'd like to come in August or September - I'm flexible on the dates.
Would you recommend staying in Florence, Blue Ash-Sharonville, or North Cincinnati (Fairfield)? Keep in mind I'm terrible with directions!
Florence is closest to the airport, but about 45 minutes from Kings Island area. Blue Ash/Sharonville is about halfway between the airport and KI. I wouldn't stay in Fairfield. It is on the west side of the city and is farther out than you would want to be. Is there a specific hotel chain you are looking for? I could check on some other locations for you.
I would stay in Blue Ash or Downtown. Fairfield is close to nothing! DH and I stay downtown alot for his work functions (cheaper than taking a cab back to the house) and we never pay more than $50 a night on priceline. We stay at the Hyatt or Westin, but there are several nice hotels down there.
I was originally looking at staying at the Comfort Suites near the Cincy airport.
Who is up for the trip to Kings Island with me?
If I were you, I'd probably look into some hotels downtown. Like Bridget said, you can usually get hotel rooms on Priceline for $50 (Hyatt). I think staying downtown would be more fun for you guys. Depending how long you'll be in town, you could check out a Reds baseball game, go to the aquarium, go to Newport on the Levee, etc. If you stay near the airport, you are kind of far from the hot spots. Also, I'd be game for KI, depending on the baby situation. Kind of strange to think I'll have a 4 month old by that time! Yikes!
