For work/dress... I have a low belted black pea coat... like this, sort of... that I LOVE!!!
For casual-I can't locate anything like it, but it's a faux tan jacket with a semi-furry collar. Then, there's the ski jacket-for someone who doesn't ski...
It doesnt get sooooooo cold that I need a puffer or anything.
during the day I wear a light jacket, it looks like a hoodie, bit its knitted and fits very close to my body.
If we are going out, or I go out at night, I wear my black pea coat. I loooooove my pea coat!

I love my Carhartt! It blocks the wind AWESOME!!
Work - some kind of hoodie

I really can't stand puffy winter coats, I'm fat enough, I don't need to look any more fluffier.
But I do own one for only when I have to shovel shiitty snow so I don't freeze my lady bits off.
OMG, when I was in High school anything by Carhartt was so cool! Dh wears one when he works on his car now. I miss those!

It depends on what I wearing.
Normally for work I wear my long pea/trench coat because it's dressy.
If I'm going casual then I'm wearing my ski coat.
I have a red peacoat, a black jacquard trench in a soft fabric and a brown short peacoat... I wear whatever matches my outfit.

Puffer and pea coat. Lately the puffer. It's freaking cold.
I wear something sorta similar to #1. It's not down feathers, but it's a typical Columbia winter coat.
I have coats for every occasion. I have an LLBean 3-in-1 coat, a short black pea coat, a long black pea coat, a 3/4 length red toggle coat, a 3/4 length camel hair coat, multiple fleeces...
I think I have a problem.
I've never been a puffer coat fan and I haaaate hoods (no thanks on the hunchback look). Peacoats all the way! The one I have now is similar to this but the buttons are more of a distressed brass and go all the way down. Mandarin collar=warmer than lapels! I would have liked a fun color or pattern, but it only came in black and I got an awesome deal on it. *shrug*
