Do you make New Year's Resolutions? If so, what are they? Not really resolutions, but more like goals. This year my goals are to be a bit more "green", to get into an exercise routine, to make a budget and stick to it, and to make a better effort at getting together with friends more often.
Are you going to see (or have you seen) the movie Avatar? Everyone is talking about it, but I have absolutely no desire to see this movie!
What is your favorite non-chain restaurant? Probably El Encanto in Cave Creek. Their food is amazing and their margaritas are to die for!
Do you post on any other boards on thenest? Or lurk? I lurk on D&R but don't really post. I love to lurk on some of the other boards too just to get a laugh out of all the madness! I also shamelessly lurk on thebump because I have terrible baby fever!
Do you have any pets? We have a shih tzu named Macy!
Are you planning any vacations this year? We are heading to California next weekend, possibly New Orleans in April, and Washington state in October.
What do you do for work? Do you enjoy your job? I am an RN...I enjoy my job overall. There are always rough days and even rough patches where I hate it, but when I really stop and think about it, I do love it and can't imagine doing anything else!
Do you make New Year's Resolutions? If so, what are they? I don't think I ever have but this year I definitely want to try and get as healthy as I can for baby

Do you have any pets? Yep, we have a 1 yr old shepherd mix named Keira and we recently got a 8 month old rottie mix named Lexi.
Are you planning any vacations this year? Nothing big probably with baby on the way but I think we may be hiking into the grand canyon when we get back to AZ.

Nope, I stink at keeping resolutions. I do want to be "comforatble" in my own skin again, but Im not going to kill myself and get upset if I fail. So I'll work hard at it... but its not really a resolution.. haha.

Nope and nope. Doesnt really interest me at all. I'll wait for the new Harry Potter and Twilight Movie though :-)

A cat, who i hate... LoL. It's my husbands other baby. I tried to like her, I swear...she attached herself to him and tries to scratch me and the kids ALL.THE.TIME.

We're goin to New England this summer. I plan to be there for about 6 weeks myself. I am also planning SOMETHING for my 30th b-day. Vegas or heading south to some wineries. Oh and Im hopin to go to NY in the next few months but they got 40 inches of snow where my friend is, in the last few days so i am reconsidering, haha!

Do you make New Year's Resolutions? If so, what are they? Occassionally I do. This year I would like to get back on a regular exercising routine and improve on some church things.
Are you going to see (or have you seen) the movie Avatar? I haven't seen it yet but I know DH wants to, and everyone says it's great so we'll probably end up doing an early Saturday showing one day.
What is your favorite non-chain restaurant? Rigatony's/Mardenely's it's Italian. Los Sombreros in Scottsdale is also great.

I did enjoy it for quite a while but hadn't been happy there for the past year since it got really slow. I'm currently looking for a new job and not sure how much more time I want to spend in that industry.

What do you do for work? Do you enjoy your job? Sales- I love the money but not sure if the job is the right fit for me
Do you make New Year's Resolutions? If so, what are they? I also have some goals. I don't call them resolutions either. My goals are to start getting healthier, be more organized around the house (cleaning more, less clutter, cooking more, etc), and my biggest mission is to be able to find a good, happy balance between motherhood and work since I go back to teaching this year.
Are you going to see (or have you seen) the movie Avatar? I haven't seen it, but we don't get to go out to movies very often. I might see it down the road, but I'm not dying to see it or anything.
What is your favorite non-chain restaurant? In Tucson, there is a steak house near us called Daisy Mae's. Yum! In Phoenix, I used to have a few, but they have changed and been sold off over the years, so the only thing coming to mind at the moment is a pizza place on 35th and Thunderbird called Pizza by Napoli (sp?). SO good! I'm sure there are other places, but nothing is coming to mind right now!!

Are you planning any vacations this year? Disneyland in February for Isabella's first trip!
That's the only one for sure. I'd like to see if Ray wants to rent a cabin up in Show Low this summer for a long weekend or something like that. My dad also has a time share up in Sedona, so maybe we'll go up there. And then I'm also hoping to go to Disneyland again with Isabella in October over my fall break.
What do you do for work? Do you enjoy your job? I'm a high school English teacher. I do enjoy my job. I do not enjoy all the budget issues that are going to make it really hard when I go back to work later this year... (I am currently staying at home with my daughter though. I go back to work in April).

Are you going to see (or have you seen) the movie Avatar? Have seen - It is absolutely fabulous. If you are on the fence or just don't want to see it - DO IT. In 3D especially! It's made over a BILLION dollars in EIGHTEEN days people...just for that reason alone - see it. It's so beautiful!

Are you planning any vacations this year? Yes thank goodness! I'm hoping to take a small mini vacation somewhere but it hasn't been thought of yet. But in the summer I'm taking DH to Canada to my hometown for the first time! I'm more than excited to go home for a little bit.
What do you do for work? Do you enjoy your job? I'm an Accountant. I work for a behavioral health for youth non-profit and I absolutely love it. I'm not using extensive accounting knowledge, but I really enjoy the place, people and the job.

Are you planning any vacations this year? We were going to go to Minnesota and Wisconsin in November to see family. But seeing as I currently have no job, that's on hold.
What do you do for work? Do you enjoy your job? I was a clinical research associate. I worked on new drugs to treat cancer. To be honest, I thought I loved it. I traveled a lot, and I realize now that it was burning me out and draining me. I lost my job last week Monday, and I'm looking for more work but I'm also exploring my options.
Do you make New Year's Resolutions? If so, what are they? Mine are to stop eating out so much (we've decided that we can only eat out 1 time every 2 weeks, unless we are on vacation". And to get pregnant!

What do you do for work? Do you enjoy your job? I am a pediatric nurse. I do really like my job, but we get some pretty dang sick kiddos on my floor, but don't get the patient ratio to compensate for it sometimes. But for the most part it is manageable.

Wow- this is a tough question to answer. I do operations management for a Video Relay Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I love the work I do, and the service I provide- saying that its had alot of changes this year.
I think most nurses know this feeling! I work on a Neuro/ENT floor at Mayo Clinic Hosptial. We have a pretty good nurse/patient ratio but so much is expected of us in terms of "patient satisfaction" that it still is beyond exhausting!

I see what your saying here, but it's kind of not true. The storyline is much more about environmentalism and the physical domination that western civilization has had on the planet - not necessarily on the tribes. In Avatar that is more of the result. For me, the amazingness of the movie wasn't in the plot, characters etc. It's purely the visual. Artistically it's such a beautiful piece to watch.
Now, if you were comparing it to FernGully - I would agree 900000%
