Good credit to work at a bank?
I was doing a little online banking just now, and decided to check the "careers" section, as I sometimes do. I was reading about the qualifications to be a PT teller at my local branch, and it stated that you had to have a credit background check and be in "good standing". I'm guessing that it is to gague how dependable you are? (kind of like getting an insurance quote) IDK, it just struck me as odd.
Re: Good credit to work at a bank?
YUP! If you have crappy credit - you may be desperate enough to steal money to pay you bills or whatever. Not something look too highly on when you are working with a lot of cash as a teller, or people's identity information.
Every bank I have worked for required one - thankfully it was never a concern for me.
