We have a pair of adorable brown bunnies, Sidney and Vinny, who have
been part of our family for five years. We are moving out of state and
won't be able to take them with us to our new home, so we are looking
for a loving new home for them. Rabbits typically live to be 10-12
years old, and our rabbits are about six years old. They are bonded
mates and should be kept together--they are spayed and neutered, so
there are no concerns that they will create more bunnies for you to
love. Bunnies will come with materials to make a "bunny condo,"
a pet carrier, litter boxes (they are litter box trained), grooming
materials such as nail clippers and brush, and the "House Rabbit
Handbook" guide to caring for rabbits. This picture is from a few
Christmases ago--sorry it's such a silly one, it's the only one I have
on this computer. To give you an idea of their size, the rabbits are
about 5-6 pounds each and the box they are in in the photo is a copy
paper box. If you are interested, please email me as soon as possible at laura.portier@gmail.com
Re: Trying to find a new home for bunnies
Why can't you take them with you?
You shoudl try the pets board. They may have some resources for unwanted pets.
Why are you unable to take them with you?
We just moved here from Boston and our 40 pound pit bull made the trip with us. If I can secure a rental that allowed a pit bull and drive 1600 miles straight with a dog in the back seat, I believe, in general, it is fairly easy to accommodate family pets.
