I have a spinning question.

I had my instructor check my seat and bars which were fine but I have a very bad wrist, my right so when we are in position 1 is when my wrist will hurt the most. I'm going to start wearing a light brace to class but wondered if you had any other tips?

I think it's the position that my wrist is in, heel of in and wrist bent upish in normal one and then when i'm in one and hold on in a wider arm stance vs more straight in 2 and 3, if that makes sense.

  • You really shouldn't feel any pressure on your arms/hands/wrist/upper body at all when you are spinning.

For example - you should be able to just touch your tips of your fingers on the handle bars (for balance) and be able to go up to 2 and 3.

If you are just a beginner, you could be making the mistake of putting pressure on your upper body and that would explain the wrist strain.

With practice and help from your instructor, you should be able to correct that.

Thanks. 2 and 3 are fine for me....it's just 1 which is probably the easiest for most people. I'll ask my instructor next class. :o) Thanks for the input and those pdfs yesterday! :o)
