I just received a call from my mom that my sister was in a car accident traveling from MSP back home to North Dakota. They think she is going to be ok but she was hit by a semi and has a head injury. In as few words as possible, I'm freaked out. The worst part about it is I don't think I can get to her. My parents are on their way but it is still a 2 1/2 hr. drive for them in heavy snow. Any T&P or advice would be really appreciated.

I'm so sorry! I'd be freaking out too, but I seriously think that you should stay put. It isn't safe to drive in the snow and you'll be worrying about your sister the entire drive-- not a good combo.
Tons and tons of t&p to you, your sister, and your parents. Please keep us posted!
I survived the RoLex wedding and all I got was this lousy husband.

T & P to your sister, you and your family. I am so sorry. Like everyone else said, you need to stay put! You don't need to drive in crappy weather and need to care of yourself and the little one inside of you. Try to relax ( I know easier said than done).
Please keep us posted. ((((((Hugs))))))
oh my gosh, cooky. I have no words. So very sorry and sad to hear this. Lots of T&P your way. I also told my mom who is the best pray-er.

Thanks everyone. I have a cousin who lives in the same town and works in a different area of the hospital so she was going to go stay with her until my parents arrive. My other sister's BFF lives in town so they were going to see if she could sit with her as well. She was able to talk to my dad so that's a positive sign.
I'm going to stay here unless something drastic happens. And the good news is that there is a train that will take me there so I don't have to drive.

I just got off the phone with my mom again. They made it to my sister shortly before a no travel warning was issued. 13 staples and a lot of pain later, little sis was able to leave the hospital! They are going to collect her belongings from the towing company and then to check in to a hotel. Sigh.
