I will probably be filing for divorce in the fall of 2010

The Bills play the Bengals in Cincinnati.  Given the way things were in our house after their last match-up, DH and I can either not watch the game together or end up in divorce court.  Luckily we have time to prepare for this.

  • UCF came to UF early in our (my husband's and my) relationship.  My husband donned his Golden Knights gear, as he is a UCF alum.  I didn't speak to him the entire game, with the exception of some (good natured?) trash talking.

Luckily, he roots for the Good Guys the other 99.5% of the time.  Wink

  • I'd divorce you too if I were married to a Bengals fan haha ;) j/k The Bills have a TOUGH schedule once again next year. I think the AFC East had 4 of the top 7 toughest schedules this year and it may be even worse next yr.

PS - not sure how much you follow the Bills - but April isn't coming back next year as our special teams coach Crying

  • FI is a Tennessee fan which is not cool for this Kentucky girl. Like you, Gator, FI cheers for the good guys every other time.

  • Well, if your H loses you over this game, it shouldn't really surprise him.  I mean, isn't losing when it counts a religion for Bills fans?

    Dead.

  • H is a huge Texas fan [he's been almost unbearable to live with the past month...so glad the national championship is tonight], and I'm an OSU grad. Every other year, Texas comes to Stillwater to play. I buy H tickets in the Texas section, don't talk to him the entire day and don't see the entire game. But, he cheers for OSU the rest of the time, and I cheer for Texas the rest of the time. We balance out, but man does it get rough.

  • The last regular season game was interesting in our house, with me being a Steelers fan and DH a Dolphins fan.

But I figure it could be worse. He could be a Browns, Bengals or Ravens fan....or I could be a Patriots, Bills or Jets fan.

  • Dude, look at my siggy. If we can survive a Packers-Vikings relationship, nothing can stop us Stick out tongue Although if the Packers survive long enough in the playoffs to play the Vikes for the NFC championship, there could be serious issues Wink

Thanks! It was my favorite wedding picture and now even moreso! Stick out tongue

  • DH and I always said we couldn't watch a Raiders/Broncos game together because we'd kill each other. We didn't for the first two years or so, but since then we do and I just silently gloat when the lowly Raiders beat the Donkeys :)

I wouldn't GO to a game with him though. I take my 18 yo nephew who's a Raider fan. He protects me from the Broncos fans.

  • I am an Eagles fan. DH is a Redskins fan. We are guaranteed to play each other at least twice every season. That used to mean more when the Redskins were good, but we still don't watch the games together. We either watch from different rooms of the house with doors closed or I go out to watch at the local sports bar.

Luckliy I am much more of a fan than he is, then again, maybe it is just because the Skins suck so bad lately.

As a side note to our resident Packers/Viking household; it would definitely be more difficult if he were a Giants fan or I were a Cowboys fan. At least we are only rivals and not archenemies! lol

  • DH is an Eagles fan. It was almost a deal breaker but I married him anyway.

I'm still trying to break him of that nasty habit.

  • DH and I lucked out with our teams. I love my Eagles, he loves the Packers. I love LSU, He loves UW. I LOVE my Angels, He loves the Brew Crew.

Since we live in the Dairy state I get behind my Wisco teams too (except the Bucks) - fortunately it never interferes with my true loves!
