Re: MyRegistry.com
We set up our registry at myregistry.com before the holidays at the request of relatives wanting to give us a few things early. Basically how it works is that you put a button on your browser's toolbar so that when you are shopping around online, you can add anything you want from any store to your registry just by clicking on the button.
We have really liked it because we didn't have to stick to just one or two stores. I was a little worried at first that some of my older relatives would have trouble with it, but we got lots of stuff from the registry for Christmas (even from my grandma!) so it must of been fine.
Plus, if you want to have a registry that people can look up in the store, they also will let you import a registry from a few places like target, crate & barrel, and williams-sonoma so that people can find your registry either in the store or online. So I recommend it...hope this helps!
