DH started his MBA on Tues

DH has orientation this week and then classes every other Fri and Sat (all day), plus some other commitments throughout the program.

I am very excited for him, but it is a big reality check that he is going to be super busy... I am already getting a little stressed out because he gets home late and then disappears upstairs while I watch the kids (he has school work to do).. he's already talking about evening study groups next week.

And he's going to be in class all day on my bday, which is not the end of the world, but not looking forward to spending a looooong Saturday alone with the kids on my bday!

Oh and I guess traffic getting to RPI is a nightmare... I give you girls credit if you drive in rush hour around RPI / 1-90 / 787 / etc.!

Re: DH started his MBA on Tues

  • I can understand being apprehensive about spending so much time alone without help with those 2 little ones around, but I'd just remind myself that it's temporary and will lead to more money and a possibility of more "fun" stuff for everyone in a few years. As far as traffic goes- been there/done that (I did Doctoral work at RPI too and classes always convened at "rush hour" times.) Tell him to get off the 787-Watervliet 23rd Street/Rt.2 exit and turn right at the light into G.I. go right across the collar city bridge, and follow the hill straight up to RPI/Burdette Ave. or 15th st. if that's where his bldg is- it'll save TONS of time from him trying to go up Hoosick St. at rush hour.
