I have never posted here before, I mainly stay on my local board but have been known to lurk a few places. I wanted to ask you ladies who are so talented when it comes to entertaining! MH & I are hosting a superbowl party, and I need some ideas for food. I want the usual "sport food" (see: chicken wings, chips, dips) but I want a "jazzed up" version of these foods, a little more mature, KWIM? Or am I certifiable? Suggestions? TIA!!
Re: Superbowl Party
Here is a great article from Kitchn and Real Simple.
I really like the idea of having a potato wedge bar or even a baked potato bar.
Lots of good finger foods.
I really think that no matter what you serve, the way you serve it is what makes a big impact.

Here is another article.
Good luck!
here are a few fun ideas!
buffalo chicken dip (with tortillas, celery and carrots)
jalapeno popper dip
a chili bar (a big pot of chili and toppings like cheese, onions, crackers, sour cream, fritos, )
homemade pizza (maybe a chicken pesto pizza or a taco pizza)
ham and swiss dijon sandwiches (can be made ahead of time and tossed in the oven before the game)
pepperoni rolls
lots of different beers
a signature cocktail or martini
Epicurious.com has loads of Super Bowl menus. Here are the ones that I found.
