I saw on your post regarding the GTG that you are taking A&P this semester. I'm an A&P professor, so let me know if you need any help

Re: **Jeff & Em**
Aw man! Where were you last quarter?!?! I totally could have used you then. : ) We covered neural, blood & heart, special senses, endocrine, and immune & lymph. It was a rough quarter, and my instructor didn't drink enough brandy the night he did my grade to bump me up.
I'll definitely let you know if I need help, and thank you!
Where do you teach at? I really love A&P and think it would be hard to teach initially, but after a time or two I think it would be a blast.
I taught at a couple community colleges and UC Davis when I lived in California. I'm taking a couple months off right now to settle into life up here. It's definitely a lot of fun to teach, but the students (especially pre-meds and pre-nursing) keep you on your toes.
Sounds like you've got resp., renal, repro, GI, and skeletal muscle this semester? Just a warning, you will want to make flashcards or something for the skeletal muscle anatomy, especially the forearm - notoriously difficult.
Are you doing pre-nursing or are you shooting for a bio major?

We must have things divided up differently. We did skeletal and muscle the first time around. I loved the muscles, but our instructor only required us to learn the muscle names and locations.
We're doing respiratory, urinary, repro, metabolism and development/some genetics this term.
My hope is to do this for pharmacy. If I don't make it in for Fall 2011 I'll probably just work on a Chem/Bio/BioChem degree instead since most of my prereqs overlap.
In California we do anatomy and physio in separate semesters. Not sure if that's better or worse?
Pharmacology is really interesting! No shortage of jobs either

Doing it separately sounds like it would be harder, but then I don't think A&P is too excruciating to begin with. A semester would be nice, though. We're on a quarter system and it seems so weird to me!
I worked as a pharmacy tech when we were in Boston for 3 years and loved it. I got tired of being the pharmacist's b!tch, though, and a pharmacist gets paid a lot better than a tech. : )
