Donating old contact lenses?
I recently had to switch to a daily disposable lens (terrible, I know - but it was either that or never wear contact lenses again because of repeated episodes of corneal ulcerative keratitis), so I have a couple of opened boxes of extended wear contacts (the individual lenses aren't open, of course, just the boxes).
Does anyone know if I can donate these anywhere? I'd hate to throw them out - they're perfectly good contacts, just not good for my eyes...

Re: Donating old contact lenses?
I just googled and found this org.
MADRE

Also, I have heard that some stores (websites) allow you to return UNopened boxes for credit on your next purchase (just FYI for the future).
Doh!
I should have checked there. We're donating some of our old (not yet expired) meds to them - they're in the city.
Thanks, though.
