1. Clothes: My suit this morning was laughable. I tried using my Bella Band (for those not in the know, it's a stretchy piece of fabric you wear around the middle that allows you to unbutton your pants but keeps them held up). So I ditched it. I ended up wearing black pants, a black shell, and a purple cardigan, with black heels and pearls. I think I looked nice, and I do think my bump looked a little minimized.
2. The interview itself was good. I interviewed with a girl at a staffing agency who has been hired by a doctor's office to find someone for their research practice. I can do the job. She said I had a great background, and thought I was a good candidate. She is sending over my information and wants to try to get an interview set up with them early next week. The drive is going to be about 45 minutes from my house, and the pay is good. I have two things against me though: I don't have this stupid certification (that I'm actually eligible to sit for but costs about $700 so I didn't do it) and I'm not a nurse. That said, we'll see.
3. Getting back to references. I'm honestly stumped by this. I have a friend I can use (that I worked with). I really do NOT want to use anyone I worked with at my previous job. I have no idea what they will say to someone. I have maybe one person I could contact...but I'm not sure. Again, I'm just not sure what they would say. So yeah. What do you do? Anyone want to pretend and be a reference for me (kidding, maybe).
Re: Interview Update
Does it sound like a good deal for you?
It does sound like the interview went well. ::more interview vibes::
::job vibes::
At my old job the HR rule was that they could only confirm employment when called for references, and couldn't give any comments on performance...so it might not be as big a worry as you think.
