We are all leaving at 2 (normally close at 5). We already had planned to leave at 4 because we all were instructed to come in an hour early today to miss the early snow (which we did). But they decided we should leave even earlier than that.
I am thinking my usual 20 minute commute will take 1 hour, not because of traffic, but because I am the person that drives like a little old lady in the snow. I'm sorry, I know you all hate me
But I have such an irrational fear of driving in the snow - I feel anxious just thinking about it.
Hope everyone gets to where they need to be safely!
Re: Office Closing Early
I'm a slow snow driver, too. I had a traumatic experience last year and slid all the way down a hill down the block from our condo in Clifton. I nearly hit a car at the bottom of the hill (that was involved in an earlier hit & run accident) and also was nearly rear ended (they ended up trying to stop, 360ed, and ended up inches away from my bumper!) while waiting for hubby to run down the street to rescue me.
Now that we live in our house, I'm realizing that what I thought was a slight upward driveway slope and not a problem is more annoying than first thought. I have a fear of 1) sliding down it as I backup, 2) not being able to pull back up into the garage and/or 3) sliding into the garage frame as I try to pull back in. I ended up having to park on the street then shovel a pathway for my tires to pull back in today!
I'm so embarassed!
Safe travels to you and everyone else!

I love the snow as well...but i also drive slow in it. Monday night I got stuck going to work and today i have been very lucky and did not have to go in! All of my clients canceled today so it has been not to bad, except i have had to shovel the outside and clean the house.
Ladies, be safe out there!
I took a half day yesterday. I am so scared to drive in the snow and literally drive 5 mph. I cry and talk to myself the whole way and pray to God to get me home safe. I had knots in my stomach the whole way home and almost threw up. I get really bad anxiety driving in the snow. Blah glad it's over for now.
