My sister's a smart kid. But she is dragging her damn feet when it comes to college. She's a senior and should've picked what school she wants to go to months ago. But here we are, in January, with college kids already signing up for Fall classes, and my sister twiddling her damn thumbs.
She has it narrowed down to three schools, and she'd be accepted to any of them in a heartbeat. But she's yet to apply. I keep telling her she needs to get her asss in gear so she can apply for financial aid. But she's just dawdling.
Kid's never had to make a decision for herself in her life, and now all the sudden she does and she clams up. Sure, I feel her pain, but at a certain point, you move forward and get your schit done.
Re: *smh*
I was like this. So I took a year off and worked - and come the next application season, I had everything ready to go WAY before deadlines.
A little life experience might not be a bad thing for her.
Aren't most application deadlines Jan 31? She still has a *little* time. When I was a senior I was dead set on going to one college, but I left the application until the very last minute. It was frustrating as hell for my parents, but I knew when it had to be in and I took care of it.
