That isn't watching or too concerned about tonight's football game.  I mean sure I back the 'horns, but my life will go on as usually and maybe I'll just leave the tv on as I'm working around the house.  I dunno.  It wasn't on the radar.

Am I alone in this?

I'm trying to be supportive of DH's interests so I'm talking up the game and will make sure Babytaffy is in bed so that the game can be enjoyed.  I'm kinda glad the board is talking about it, since it's easier for me to catch the enthusiasm though.

I know I couldn't care less.   May the best team win and all that jazz.  I'm going to go learn how decorate cakes instead watching the game.

i could not care less about grown men chasing a ball. i can't believe how crazy people get over sports. now if they were competing in a national music festival or something, i could understand the excitement.

I'd like UT to win but really it doesn't affect me.  If DH wants to watch it, he probably will while I read or something.  I don't care to watch the game. 

I was just asking a co-worker today if I was the only who didn't get the hype.  I totally get it if you are a UT (or any college) student or alum.  I also get it if you're a (normal) fan b/c you have friends/family who went there, live in the town/whatever.  I don't get those people who aren't alum and are insane, crazy fans who get pissed if you aren't.  Anyone like that care to enlighten me?  (If that sounds facetious, it's not.  I'd really like to understand.)

Funny, I used to be like that and didn't give the slightest hoot about football. But this season, everyone's enthusiasm caught on and the bug unexpectedly bit me! It's way more fun over here on this side. HOOK 'EM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I "watch" all the UT games, but that's the only team DH watches, so therefore I watch them. I don't pay too terribly much attention until the game gets close at the end. THEN I get all stressed out and nervous. I am excited about tonight, just because it's fun to ... well, have fun.

However ... if we ... you know ... the thing I'm not supposed to say happens ... I'll be slipping out the back door. I hate being around when everyone is in a bad mood. My mood won't be ruined, it will just be elevated if they win.

I didn't even know about the game until a couple of days ago when a co-worker asked me if I was going to watch it. I asked her what game she was talking about and she looked at me with a concerned look on her face and said "uh, UT!". Sorry, I"m not from here and I don't get football!

 Good way to put it.  We will be watching and I agree it's more fun to have fun.  I need to take my mind off stuff so I'm going to try to get into it.  If it works, maybe I'll be converted!

it was definitely on the radar for me - seems like every news story is about the game right now. really starting to annoy me.

i was looking forward to going to a party to watch the game but we're leaving for vacation tomorrow and im behind on my packing and getting ready. so the game will be on while i fold laundry, clean kitty litter and pack my bags.

Eh.  I'm not much into football.  DH is watching it and has become a UT fan since we don't get many U of Michigan games, but I don't really care.

Buuuut it would be a totally different story if we were talking about the Red Wings and the Stanley Cup Finals.

I agree with PP. I don't care. I can't ever get how people get all caught up. I understand people who went to the school but those who didn't? Why does it matter? What does it do for you if they win? Nothing. Now if when they won we'd all get 100 bucks, then I'd care.

I'd much rather watch NFL.
