Re: No Work for Me Today!
Am off, but it's my 'normal' every other Friday off... and I make a dr's appt for myself at 8am-what was I thinking??!! Oh, I remember... it took over 3 mos to get this appt... -remember my horrid bouts w poison ivy in the summer? I'm finally going to see the dermatologist. I expect them to tell me to stay off the red wine, but otherwise, not sure.
Happy lazy day in bed!
Have a good snow day!
We woke up to about an inch in Williamsburg. I already had the day off (worked 4 10s this week), so even if our office is closed I won't find out until Monday. All area Navy bases had a 2 hour delay for non-essential employees, but DH is considered essential so he had to go in at his normal time. Yes, places are closed/delayed for an inch of snow. That's typical for Hampton Roads.
DH was so cute this morning. Being from Houston and having never lived north of VA, he woke me up to look at the snow and watch Miller in it. An inch of snow is about the most he's ever seen before, haha!
WOW Lucky you!!
We got off at 1:00 yesterday but had to come in today....blah...
Blah, we got a dusting. Plus, no one drives so we would never get off work for a snow day. Boooooooo . . . I guess there is a downside to the subway.
Working until 6 and then going out for beers and nachos with some the Logan's Run coworkers afterwards (there are 5 girls, including me, who are under 30 and then two other people who are around 40 . . . which would be fine if they didn't embrace the 40 stereotype so much).
Lucky!! Enjoy sleeping in =D.
All everyone at work did yesterday was talk about how it was supposed to snow last night into today. I was really banking on that bc down here when it snows, everything shuts down lol. Of course I woke up this morning with nothing...sigh. Hopefully it'll start to flurry later so I can leave early.
