If you place something down your laundry shoot, say on a Tuesday, would you expect to have it clean by Friday?
Also, does anyone besides me leave laundry in the washer?
Re: WDYT?
What's a laundry shoot?
And I leave things in the washer, but never more than a few hours.
It's the equivalent of a hamper but delivers it directly to the basement via a shoot.
I should have just left the damn laundry dirty.
chute, O.
And no, I don't have one so that's moot. Sometimes I do forget laundry in the washer for a few hours. :-/
Lord. I wish I had excuse for my horrible grammar. Chutechutchute.
I forgot it overnight. This is not the first time, and oops...of course H needed something that was formerly dirty, now clean, but not dry. Wheee.
Welcome to Friday.
I sometimes forget the stuff in the washer for a few hours, but I just turn on the rinse cycle and throw them in the dryer when they're done.
We're averaging 4-5 loads per week. You'd think I could remember when I have stuff in the washer.
The joy of a dry climate is that I can forget things in the washer overnight, and they're just mostly dry in the morning.
My H knows that if it's in the hamper, it could be up to two weeks before he sees it again. We all have enough clothes and socks and underwear to get through that long, and I usually do laundry on Saturdays, about four-five loads, and it might all get folded by the following Monday. He hoards his clothes, though, so I have to demand them for laundry day.
