Tonight we are going to plant ourselves on the couch and eat take-out. C has had to work a lot this week, so I cannot wait for this!! A warm blanket and some bad tv sound soooo good
Tomorrow we are going to try to get some shopping done - C has a gift card and coupon she needs to use, and I need new maternity jeans and bra extenders to accomodate my expanding body! Then...house hunting!!! We are going to see 5, maybe 6 townhouses. We just found out that the house we lost out on (remember the one someone else put a higher offer on?) is back on the market - the buyer's financing fell through! So that one is back on the table, but some of the others that we are scheduled to see tomorrow look like they might be a better fit for us (and are priced lower!), so we're looking forward to exploring our options. A couple of the houses look very promising, and we are hoping by the end of the day, we'll be ready to make an offer! Wahoo!!
Sunday we'll need to do some grocery shopping and an errand or two.
This work day can't go by fast enough!!

its going to be a very busy weekend for us. BIL's wedding is tomorrow so this evening we have the rehearsal dinner and all day tomorrow will be wedding prep, pictures, ceremony, reception, ect - i'm hoping i can stay awake through it all! oh yeah, and i have no idea what i'm wearing
i'm hoping i can sneak out of work a smidge early and find something quickly!
sunday will be recovery and some QT with the kids. we need to start on thier lifebooks so perhaps we'll dedicate sunday to that.

Will the LOs be around the whole wedding ride, or is it an adults-only wedding?

L is home, so most of my weekend will be me playing zone defense to make sure the kids aren't trying to hug, squeeze, climb on, or torture her (she is really sore and has several incisions.)
What I really would like is to get into bed tonight and stay there until Sunday morning, then get and up go to breakfast, and get back in bed till Monday morning. But since that isn't happening...
The weekend will probably consist of playing some Wii - I guess I am now that parent who let's her 3y play video games (but only a few minutes and with us), playing with their new firehouse (they LOVE it), doing some errands, and taking the kids to a production at a local theater for kids. Oh, and being both thankful and annoyed at my ILs (they are staying with us.)
Can I tell you how ready I am for warmer weather so we can go to the playground, take walks, ride the new scooters, and hang out outside and get ENERGY out!?!?!?
Mrs._F - good luck!!! I can't wait to hear if you find your perfect home!
I'm not really sure what our weekend holds. Tonight I have a chiropractor appointment that I'm soooo looking forward to! My pre-pregnancy back injury has really be acting up this week.
I'm sure Saturday will be spent once again working on getting the house in order. Putting new carpet in has been great because we've boxed up a TON of stuff for a spring garage sale and/or the Goodwill. Things are nice and neat and going back in their proper places. But I never knew we had soooo much stuff. It's taking forever to get all the little stuff put away. I'm sure part of that is due to the fact that I no longer have an office.
Sunday will likely be our usual errands, bulk shopping, groceries, etc. Maybe, just maybe, we might finally get around to registering.
Tonight we are seeing It's Complicated after dinner at Olive Garden - not normally where we would go but we got a gift card and are going to be all Rob and Ellen from Will and Grace about it.
Tomorrow is a trip to a nearby small town with art galleries and lunch with friends.
Sunday we hope to sleep in, get some work done on the truck, and meet up with friends to see the house they bought. We will probably finish off with some football (for me only) and Brothers and Sisters.
We hope to also get the tree taken down and clean the house some.
I have been praying for Friday to get here all week! TGIF for sure!!!
Tonight I'm looking forward to some serious r&r. We plan to clear out the dvr and watch our new netflix movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
On Saturday, I'd like to paint one of our hallways (light gray) and do some thrift store shopping for more house decor. We need things like small vases, pictures frames, etc. to fill 4 floating shelves hanging in our living room. The shelves currently look a little blah. I also need to get to Costco at some point. (2brides: I always wonder if I'm going to run into you there
)
Sunday should be our 2nd iui and then we have a political fundraiser to go to in the afternoon.
Hope you all have an enjoyable weekend!
I just put all three seasons of Brothers and Sisters into our netflix queue! I've heard it's great.
We haven't made any plans! I know S has to work for a few hours on Saturday and we will likely head to the park. I haven't gotten much farther than that yet LOL!
Which one do you go to? I am either at the one in Columbia or the one by Arundel Mills. You can't miss us. I am the one with 2 little boys in the front seats, handing out samples to kids, and occasionally going fast down the aisles and then jumping on the cart.
You'll always find a chicken, lots of fruit, and soy milk in our cart (other stuff comes and goes.)
We like it. DW got me hooked. Some politics, a couple of gay characters, family drama, etc.
Family Way - Let me know what you think of Benjamin Button....we thought the first half was painfully slow but then ended up liking the second half.
Ha! Sounds like you'll be easy to recognize!! If I see you, I'll come say hello as long as you promise not to run into me with your fast moving cart!
I usually go to the Beltsville or Gaithersburg stores, although both are a bit of a hike. I didn't realize there was one in Columbia. That store is probably closer to us. I'll have to check it out.
I never go to the gaithersburg one - too far. I went once to Beltsville and swore I would never go there again. The one in Columbia is relatively new and very nice. Plus, there is a Trader Joes right there.
My weekend is gonna be pretty chill. Tomorrow we're going to a dinner / going away party for a friend who is moving to NC. I'm gonna go and try to cheer her kids up about going. They're having a hard time with it.
Sunday is just church then K has to work a few hours so I'll probably do some baking . Not sure what to bake though.
I wish the snow could have held off till sunday!!!
Forgive the prior post, as C will tell you I have a tendency to push the wrong buttons
.
Because work has already planned our "babies" shower we were somewhat forced to register right away. We registered at BrU this week...C let me control the laser thing-a-ma-jig and I went crazy...one of the first things that I put on the registry was BUTT PASTE, I must be a kid at heart, but that made me laugh so hard (I guess that shows my maturity). I still smile when I just say the words. Oh, C's going to love coming home to me and the kids...she'll be coming home to 2 little ones and one HUGE one
!
This weekend will (should) consist of C getting her license, assembling the cribs, ordering the border, going to Church, house cleaning, dyeing my hair (yes, I dye my hair...*smile*) and watching the wildcard games. I am sure C and I will work a nap or two in also.
Have a great weekend y'all and Two*True if you register, don't forget the... (well I am sure you know what I am going to say)!
BEST!
This made me lol too so I must be kind of kid like myself ;-)
Be careful with Butt Paste. It stains very easily. People swear by it, but it never worked on our kids. Triple Paste is where it's at.
Which stroller did you pick out???
we've had quite a bit of snow here, and it's still coming down. my commute home last night was horrible, it took me an hour for a trip that is normally 15-20 minutes max. i don't think we'll be going anywhere today at all--although my sister may come over for a bit. maybe we'll order in and play on the living room floor while we watch a movie or something, that would be nice.
tomorrow a friend of mine is coming over to meet monkey. she moved out of town a year or two ago and hasn't been able to meet him--every time she was in town around the holidays one of us was booked up. afterward all four of us will be going to celebrate sara's life, which will be good, i think, but difficult.
my sil and her gf are having a party tomorrow night, so we'll probably be stopping over there for a little bit early on. we'll have the baby with us, though, so we won't stay too late.
i have no idea what's on the agenda for sunday. maybe nothing!
ok, i admit we did the same thing with the butt paste.
but, i second 2brides. when he got a really bad rash the pediatrician suggested triple paste and gave us some samples. it cleared up so fast it wasn't even funny, any we haven't used anything else since.
I wonder if I can write the company that makes Triple Paste and ask them to change the name to "Triple Booty Paste" or something like that. I need to keep my smile as I tangle with the rashes my poor babies may get.
2brides, right now we are going with the double snap 'n go.
