A boo and a yay

Boo - I have to retract my teeny squee from last week (early this week?).  H was promoted and then told he wasn't.  The company decided to lay someone off, causing some sort of domino effect in position changes and H got word that he'd be staying in his current position.  He was upset, but we're thankful he still has a job, and they actually gave him more customers, which means he'll still see an increase in his paychecks.

Yay - I got out of jury duty until April 2011 because of breastfeeding.  I seriously would never have thought to call and ask if I didn't jokingly post about it here.  Thanks ladies!  For future reference, can I use pregnancy as an excuse the next time around?

Re: A boo and a yay

  • pregnancy could be a legit excuse ( at least I think it should be) - especially if you have morning sickness or are further along and have to get up to pee every 5 minutes.
  • I think the first is a boo/yay all itself.  Yes, he doesn't get promoted (which didn't come with a pay increase) but now he DOES get a pay increase.  :)

  • 1. At least he's getting more money, although I'm sure he'll need to put in more work for it.

    2. Yaaaaay  Although I didn't mind jury duty.
