Anniversary Gift?
I am curious!!! I know some of you ladies have already reached your 1 year mark of marriage and I was curious to know what did you gift your DH on your 1st anniversary?

Our 1 year anniversary was on Oct 3, 2009. I surprised DH with tickets to The Phantom of the Opera at Broward Center for the Performing Arts. We are actually going tomorrow to see it. He had been wanting these tickets for a while and I kept telling him no no they are too expense. But secretly I wanted to surprise him with them.
I also got him some Hugo Boss dress shoes he had been wanting.
We are planning a trip as well, which is our gift to each other. We have given each other a million gifts over the years, a trip is more valuable to us!
We haven't made a budget yet (since our wedding wasn't long ago!) but even if we go somewhere just for the weekend, we're going!
Right now we are looking into Harbour Island, Bahamas or a trip to San Francisco, Napa Valley, etc.
Another idea I had was to take bpics for him as a surprise, but I don't know if that will ever happen lol.
Michi! I wish I had known about bpics back when I got married. I soooo wish I'd done it back then. What a great anniversary gift that would be.
My DH and I went on a cruise for our first anniversary. It was a 1 week cruise to the western Caribbean on the Caribbean Princess... we had a fabulous time! I'm so glad we did it because right after that we started our photography business and my husband's software company, and then we couldn't really afford to take vacations. Now we have a baby so vacations are tough too... but we are taking another cruise this summer! Yay!

I keep going back and forth about doing them. Can't decide! I have a friend that's a photographer who specializes in fashion photography and nudes and he wants to take pics of me. The problem is that it's a guy and a friend, so that's a little uncomfortable! But, he would have a female assistant present, so that makes it better.

We kept it simple since we went on a trip.
I gave DH a photo album of many big and little events of our first year. I love taking photos so I had taken pictures of our first meal in our home, our first Valentines as a married couple, Birthdays etc.
I also gave him a coupon book lol. I got the idea off a blog. Its a coupon for different things like a massage from me at anytime, a kiss from me etc. It was just a silly little thing that I made with scrapbook paper but he keeps it on his nightstand.
Michi I say go to San Fran...it's awesome and I can not stress that enough!!! I am sure Jenny will agree with me! As far as b-pics I actually wanted to do them before we got married and give it to him at the rehearsal dinner as a little sneak peak of whats to come, but never did with the craziness of the wedding. So I thought to myself I will do them for our 1 year anniversary and here I am a week away from our 1st year of marriage and still no b-pics. If you get the oppurtunity to do them I say do them, but with a woman! I feel your pain about doing it with a guy especially if he is a friend.
Anyhow my anniversary is on Sunday and DH and are planning on going to Chicago as a gift to each other, but I wanted to get him a little something else...I had thought about giving him an album with pictures of our first year togther, but I would have like to have done it on blurb or something but I don't think I will get it before Sunday!!! ugh!!!
