Streaming from Netflix

We just got a blu-ray player for Christmas.  I haven't messed around with it much yet, but I think there is supposed to be a way to hook into our wireless and stream movies from netflix.  Has anyone else done it?  Was it easy?

Re: Streaming from Netflix

  • We hooked our laptop directly to our TV and watched that way. All you need is the blue cable w/ the two screws on either side of the jack.
  • H did ours, but we just had to run a cable from the player to our router (? I'm pretty sure it was the router), and then the player walks you through the steps to set it up. As I recall, we just had to log in to Netflix through the player, and we were good.

Pandora was the same - I just had to log in on the player. I haven't tried our YouTube yet, and we don't have Blockbuster.

  • If it has a little Netflix sticker on it, it'll stream Netflix.

It depends.  You can use a cable to connect it to your router which will provide it's internet connection.  The other way is to just enable (and encrypt) your wireless and that'll provide it's internet connection.

When we set up ILs blu ray Netflix friendly, it was really super easy.
