suggestions in the under 200 range?  The flash crapped out on mine, but I have had it for probably 6 years, so I am excited to shop around a bit.  I wish I could afford a really nice one, but not this time around

We have the Sony Cybershot and it's good... I don't do anything special with it, but the battery life is long and it lets you take anotheer pic in a short time (no waiting 10 sec to take next). good luck!

me too Chrissy!  Rob got me a Nikon Coolpix S200 and I dispise it!  It takes blurry pics (I think b/c it's so small it's so easy to shake or move) and the flash is too long and catches Jack blinking nearly everytime!  I wanted a smaller more portable camera and one that you could take consecutive pics without much delay(it does ok at this) But I think I sitll like my 3 yr old Kodak Easy Share Z740 for quality it's just too big to carry everywhere!  Are you going to look this weekend?

I totally love my Canon Elph SD850.  It is awesome - and by now it should be in that pricerange.  It has a 4x optical zoom, is small enough to keep in your purse, and the battery life is great.  I also got an Extreme III SD card (2GB) so that time in between shots would be shorter and it could hold video clips.

We have always had GREAT luck with Olympus for digital cameras.  The one I have right now is a Stylus and a few years old so it's kinda out-of-date.  HOWEVER, DH keeps telling me that he is DYING to get me one of their new FE series cameras (they start at under $200)!

I keep telling him to wait to get it for me as a birthday or Christmas gift but he wants me to have it sooner so I can use it to take pictures now!

I have a new Kodak easyshare and I love it.  It was $129.00 at Walmart.  I can get you the exact model number if you want, but it is the orange/copper colored one that they have on display.

I just bought a Canon SD870 IS for about $245.  I love it so far!  It came highly recommended from 3 people I know who have the model before this one.
