Back to school...where my teachers at?!?
So I start "new" teacher orientation tomorrow... *sigh* I am nervous and scared, probably more so now than I was with my first teaching job because now people have expectations. They have heard the references from my former employers and now I have to live up to something.
By this time last year I already had my entire classroom set up, had kids' files and felt like I knew what I was doing. I have none of that. It will be a busy week...first day with kids is the 13th.
When does everyone else report? First day of school?

Re: Back to school...where my teachers at?!?
Don't say the S word! I'm not ready to go back!!!!
I go back next week and kids come the following week.... so I still have a couple of days, but I know I'll be up there a few days this week moving my furniture and unpacking some boxes. I just spent the week with my friend in Chicago and they don't start until after Labor day!
Boo!! I'm so not ready for school to start.
We start next week on the 13th, and the kids have a half day on Friday, the 15th. What a stupid way to start (esp. with block scheduling, but I guess we'll just do the quick 15 min classes and my students can at least see my face...).
I don't want to go back either!!!
I start meetings on the 13th and the kids come on the 19th. Goodbye summer time!
