Isabella has a lot of eye gunk today. She woke up that way and I cleaned it off with a wet facecloth, but it has continued all day. Around her eyes are a little red but maybe from me wiping them. Should I be worried? She goes in for 4 month appointment Wednesday.
Re: Question for Moms
I agree
One virus that Caroline got (from Jakob) this past winter caused her to have some goop in her eyes....it was weird! I brought her to the pedi and he said that it wasn't anything to be concerned about and that it would go away with the virus. She also had a little cough and runny nose at the same time.
I was concerned about conjunctivitis, though, because little ones seem to get that so easily! I might call your pedi and have them take a look if you are at all concerned.....just in case!
I agree with Lisa...Mason had that when he was a neworn. If the eye itself isn't red I wouldn't worry about pink eye. Definitely follow your pedi's advice though. We just used a warm cloth to wipe his eye and it went away after a day or two...Good luck!
Connor also had a blocked tear duct and we were told to massage it a few times a day and it went away. Sometimes it came back but we would just do the same and I havent seen it in a couple of months!
