I haven't been on the board all weekend till now, but I have been trying to catch up on all the posts.... I know how you are feeling. It is really hard to give up a pet but sometimes that is the best decision for everyone involved, including the pet.... I had to give up my cat once several years ago due to moving.... I didn't even want the cat in the first place, but he was a stray kitten that got attacked by a dog... so I took him in, took him to the vet and tried to find a home for him, but I couldn't find anyone. I got attached to him and decided to keep him, until I had to move a couple years later. I know he went to someone who could give him more time and attention than I could and I know he is happier (the girl who took him even calls me from time to time to tell me how he is doing, and that helps me feel alot better too) I don't know why some people just can't realize the REALITY of LIFE. Things happen, things change, and we have to make the best of it, and it sound like you did that and made the best decision for your family. I support you!!!!!
