Re: more Verizon + iPhone whispers

  • That would be fabulous if true!  DH has been wanting an iPhone, but I've been reluctant to switch from Verizon to AT&T.  Thanks for posting!
  • If it is true, I don't understand why Apple is running this ad then.
  • Yeah, I see the iPhone going to T-Mobile before Verizon - too many network and hardware issues to work out (the biggest being GSM vs CDMA, which is brought up in a non-techie fashion in Apple's ad above). Not to mention that Verizon is heavily invested in the Droid line, and Steve Jobs doesn't take too kindly to people who trash his stuff. :)

Business Week recently had an article about AT&T's problems handling the iPhone and mentioned that Verizon is actually gearing up to be able to handle it, despite the fact that there has been no official announcement.  I've been hearing for a couple months now that Verizon will get it, but I'm also inclined to believe these rumors simply because I want one so bad and we aren't switching from Verizon anytime soon. Big Smile

I'm more inclined to believe they've been gearing up for the Android phones they've been releasing than that they've been gearing up for the iPhone.

  • I am also more inclined to believe it just because of how badly I would "like" to see it happen. Yes, Verizon has Android and yes, T Mobile does treat the myTouch as their sort of flagship phone. At the end of the day I just want someone to show AT&T the right way to treat the iPhone.
