She was definitely a reTARD.
We went to a Xmas dinner for sFIL's extended family on Saturday. I knew most of the people there, but not everyone. We were greeted at the door by a girl (20yo) wearing a zip-up hoodie that was zipped only about halfway up... with nothing but her bra underneath. This dinner was mostly great aunts & uncles, most of which were over 65. She looked at me and said, "I don't know you."
I introduced myself, she said, "OH! You must know [Little Bro]! Is he coming tonight? Is he bringing his dumb girlfriend? I don't like her."
Caught off guard, I mumbled something to the effect of Yes, they're coming.
Dinner began and we all grabbed our plates and started chowing down. This chick plopped herself down at our table and just started talking. She.did.not.stop.the.entire.time.
Some of the gems that came out of her yap:
- I live with my brother (two years older than her). He's a dumbschit. He's never had a girlfriend. But he likes to be [air quotes] ALONE in his room all the time. HAR HAR HAR!
- People say I'm spoiled, but I'm not. Sure, my dad owns our apartment and the building it's in. And he pays our utilities. But we don't have rent to pay. How is that spoiled? I still work!
- My brother has a stupid dog. He's not supposed to have one in the apartment. So I got one, too. It's even dumber.
- I work at the gas station. My best friend works with me. She's Filipino. It's okay. She's the only person I've ever met who's a different color. But we get along decent.
- My dad's bought me five different cars in two years. (Please refer back to "I'm not spoiled.") The police in town suck. They keep pulling me over. F**K THEM, I said. (Thank god most of the people at the party were wearing hearing aids and had them turned down. But MIL still clutched her pearls, as did I.)
- Yeah, I have a boyfriend. But I don't bring him home. My brother won't leave us alone. (Gag.)
Every other word out of this broad's mouth was either schit or damn. A few fvcks escaped, too. When she FINALLY shut up and went away, MIL looked at me and said, "Well... she's a talkative one, isn't she?"
