Tiffany & Co

You'd have to have big balls to rob a jewelry store, while it's open, in a mall, with no sort of mask or anything.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for a couple who are accused of stealing a large amount of jewelry from Tiffany & Co. at SouthPark Mall on Monday.

Surveillance photos show a man reaching over the counter and taking several items of jewelry after the store clerk walked away.

The man is described as being about 6-feet-3, 200 pounds. The woman is described as being 5-feet-4, 115 pounds. Both are in their mid to late 20s.

Police said the couple got away with a "high-dollar amount" of jewelry.

Re: Tiffany & Co

  • I must have been racially profiled because I felt like every eye and camera was on me the last time I was in that store.

  • I've never stepped foot in a Tiffany's. I understand there's a ton of security, so I don't understand how this happened.

The jewelry store my e ring is from - you walk in, have to let the door behind you close, speak to the clerk who is behind a bulletproof sheet of glass, who then buzzes you into the actual store. All high tech and shizz. There was a security guard with a shot gun and everything.

  • See, that's what we should have done.

True, but Woozle might have slowed us down. It would be poor parenting to leave her in the car, so you'd have to bring her along for the robbery. Do you think she could keep up?

  • We could have stashed the loot in her carrier.  The baby is always the last one you suspect.

True... very true. Then we could make our way to the Godiva store and be all, "What's all the commotion about?"
