Friday night: Up in the Air
I liked it. Of course like every other current and former St. Louisan, I was too busy figuring out where the scene was filmed to pay much attention to pay attention to the story, but I still liked it. And filming locations included one of the stops on my first date with DH and a hotel where perhaps the best BCBC of my life happened. I don't understand the "Oscar buzz" about the girl who played Natalie. I thought she was kind of flat. But I loved everyone else.
Later Friday night: Confessions of a Shopaholic
Cute, cheesy, could have been worse.
Saturday night: The Big Lebowski
I know a lot of people LOVE this movie and I had never seen it all the way through, so I gave it a 2nd chance. I did like it, but it made me dislike John Goodman all the more (I know, so un-former-St.Louisan of me) and I still don't understand the cult following.
Sunday afternoon: It's Complicated
This was so much funnier than I expected. John Krasinski is ADORABLE. I liked this movie a lot, even though I should be slightly offended by the notion that all younger wives are dimwit fluzzies (although I don't think I've ever been confused with a trophy wife).
Re: My weekend in movies
You don't fuckwith the Jesus!
I really want to see It's Complicated, but mostly because I love Meryl & Alec.
We were going to watch Sweeney Todd but some a-hole stuck the special features dvd in the sleeve and sent it back to Netflix, who in turn sent it to us. So super awesome, we could select a language, but not view the DVD.
BFF watched Confessions of a Shopaholic this weekend. It's a cute movie.
