Today I have a lunch meeting with an old boss of mine to talk about the possibility of going to work for him. He started his own business a few years ago, and we've been talking on and off over the last year- year and a half about maybe working with him. About every 6 months he'd call up saying they were close to needing extra help and ask if I was still interested but he never pulled the trigger. I'm really hoping this meeting works out since his business would be a good use of my skills, and yet I'm kind of nervous since he's been a bit flakey in making a decision for so long. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes a lunch meeting is a good sign. It sounds like the job is pretty much mine if I want it but that they're not 100% ready to bring someone on just yet but he'd like to have someone full time by mid-end of February. So in the meantime I'm going to go there for a few hours a couple times a week for the next few weeks to test it out and see if this is a good fit for everyone.
