responding to Craigslist jobs

I've sent resumes out to postings on Craigslist before, and I get a response directing me to another site and blah blah blah its a scam.

I don't want to just blindly send my resume out anymore.  I see a post that looks interesting.  It doesn't give a company name or phone number, but says "Qualified applicants are welcome to email/call"

Can I send an email like...."I am interested in the position posted.  Can you please provide details such as location and hours, and i will reply with my resume?"

Would that immediately turn off a hiring manager?  Can I just say that I'm checking to make sure its not a scam?  :)

Not at all.  However they are probably not interested in spam either so include some details.  ie that you are already located in Austin and maybe pull out another detail or 2 of their post and comment on it so it doesn't sound you are a spammer as well

If you call,  you can mention you wanted to make sure they were a real company,  but I wouldn't know how to word that in a email
