So, I'm working on coming up with some concrete goals for this year, because I'm super into goal setting. I like goals that are actually measurable, not just "work out more" vagueness.
I don't have a personal blog, just my book blog (::cough::becomeafollowerifyou'renot::cough::) so I figure I will share these here.
So far I have:
~ Finish writing/revising my novel. Sumbit to agents by the end of the year.
~ Work my way up to running 3 miles straight (no walking) and keep it up throughout the year.
~ Save enough money between now and June so that I DON'T have to work summer school.
I kinda want one or two more, though, but I'm at a loss...
Re: My 2010 goals
I think the novel goal is so exciting!
GL on the running 3 miles goal.
Even if you saved enough money by June, why wouldn't you still work summer school?
I wouldn't work it because I hate it with every fiber of my being.
It sucks because it really is easy money, and it's only a half day, and blah blah blah, but i hate it so much. Every year I say I will never do it again, but this past year ONE KID ASSAULTED ANOTHER KID IN MY CLASS and the cops came and questioned all of us. Man, I hate it so bad. Every day going there is like torture.
I swore I wasn't going to do it this year, although I probably still will.
But I'd like the option not to, if I can.
I am so greedy that I'd still work regardless for the extra cash. lol. But that assault was some dramz for real and I don't blame you for wanting to not do it.
if you don't have to work summer school, don't! I can only imagine what type of students you have to deal with.
I think the goals you've set are awesome Jess. That mess at school would make me HATE going there too. I have an ING account set up online that deducts money right out of my checking so I don't even see it. Saving money is easier for me that way.
My goal is the standard "lose baby weight by summer". So boring!
Those are all great goals! No reason to add more, at least for me. The more ambitious I am, the more likely I am to be disappointed in myself by the end of the year.

It's the "Reading is Sexy" link in her sig.
I like this one! I'm adding it.
I love those goals. I almost always choose the ambivalent way out and say I lose more weight or make more phone calls vs. texts.
I definitely think you should submit your novel once you're done working on it!
Great goals! Good luck!
I'm going to share your running goal.
