G'ville area fabric stores???

Ok--I've been to:

  1. Hobby Lobby (Woodruff)
  2. Carolina (N Pleasantburg)
  3. Tony's (S Pleasantburg)
  4. Walmart (S'ville)
  5. Hancock (Laurens/Verdae)
  6. Marietta's Quilt and Sew (S'ville by Bloom)

I have yet to go to the one towards Traveler's rest but can....All American or something like that and will visit Bernina's Greenville on Wade Hampton when their Amy Butler comes in stock.

Where else is there to go???  I moved from Atlanta and could always find what I needed within 45 minutes but now I'm having a hard time finding quilt fabric/upholstery fabric type stores at all here!  Maybe I just don't know where to look???

Re: G'ville area fabric stores???

  • Isn't there another Tony's around exit 60?  Next to Unclaimed furniture?  If I can't find it there, I either order from Hancock or online.  Hancock has their specialty fabrics 1/2 off about every other week.  They're expensive (as is the shipping), but they do have a lot of selection.
  • There is a store called Mary Jo's near Charlotte where a friend who does a lot of sewing buys her fabrics.  It's about an hour and a half from here but may be worth a trip?  I know she sews competition dance costumes and they have a big selection of that type of material, but you'd have to check and see if they have more in the way of upholstery fabrics:

Also, on your way to Charlotte, somewhere on the left hand side of 85 there is an upholstery/fabric store.  I have no idea what it is called.  I think you'll come to it before you get to Gaffney.
