I hate to tell you all this but Stonyfield is partially (if not all) owned by Danone....see below...

In 2001, Stonyfield Farm entered into a partnership with Groupe Danone, and in 2005, Gary was named managing director of Stonyfield Europe, a joint venture between the two firms with brands in Canada, Ireland, and France.
Re: PP about Stonyfield Yogurt
Yes, that's the other thing I'd heard and why I never bought them, but then, I don't really have anything against Danone/Dannon?
I really don't eat flavored yogurt very often at all, so its not something I've looked into. But if they are using Organic Valley dairy, that's a positive. What's so bad about Danone?
Nothing really bad about Dannon but its big big business...and well most of the small organic companies have had to succumb to the big business to stay afloat. (I did my senior seminar project on this subject)
I do have to commend Stonyfield for staying true to what they believe as a company. However, not the same can be said for products like Tom's of Maine which has changed its formula since being bought out.
Oh I'm just excited that Organic Valley has so many customers! If Stonyfield and others are using their milk, that's great!
I tried the yogurt, I still don't like it. I'm just not a fan of the fruity yogurts. I'll stick to greek!
Oh, EW. I took a bite of that and almost threw up! It was out here for a little bit as well around Thanksgiving/Christmas.
My kiddo loves Stoneyfield Farms yogurt. It's too sweet for my taste. I am glad to hear that they are using Organic Valley milk, though. I LOVE Organic Valley.
Ditto this!! I am excited to see Organic Valley not just popular on their own but now dairy sourcing for such a huge product line!
I agree, Stonyfield is just too sweet for me. I love LOVE Fage greek yogurt. Mmmm I'm going to have to pack some for lunch tomorrow. I wish it was organic, but they do pledge not to use RBgh.
My Preserve brand razor and toothbrush are made with 100% Stonyfield cups though
Same here. Gary Hirshberg still runs the company, so I'm not that bothered by it. He's still very much invested in the company and its operations.
That being said, I usually just buy Fage yogurt. I do like some of their flavored regular yogurts, though.
