Columbus Zoo?

Hi Columbus Nesties!

I'm a Cincinnati Nestie and my husband, daughter and I are coming to Columbus next week to see The Wiggles! Wohoo!

Anyway, we were thinking of coming up earlier in the day and going to the zoo before the big show that night.  But looking at the map, it seems like the zoo is pretty far away from Nationwide Arena.  How far apart are they really?

Re: Columbus Zoo?

  • It is maybe 15 minutes apart. Not far. The Zoo is in Powell on the North/West side of town and Nationwide is Downtown. You could get downtown in a zip on 315.

And the Zoo is great, have fun!

     :)

  • I would say it is closer to 20-25 minutes apart.  The zoo is in southwestern Delaware county and the Arena is in downtown Columbus.  What time is The Wiggles show?  The zoo opens at nine and it isn't that big, you could probably easily get through it in 2-3 hours.
  • I agree with both of these replies, pretty much....  Regardless, it's close enough you could see the entire zoo before the show if you'd like to make a day of it!  I am really replying to make sure you go through the Kangaroo walk-about.  The kangaroos are free to move around you and they seem completely touchable!!  They keep their distance from people though, so they never get too close anyway.  They're so peaceful.

It's my most favorite thing out of the entire zoo!!!

PS, don't be fooled by the Starbucks sign near the entrance.  It's not real Starbucks and isn't worth the money!!!
