Wheaton Franciscan OB Rec's

I have a friend looking for a OB and she's 20 weeks PG. Does anyone have any good Dr. rec's for her I would greatly appreciate any help.

She really doesn't know what to do since her insurance just switched and needs someone in the next few weeks.

Re: Wheaton Franciscan OB Rec's

  • i don't have any rec. for OB's but I see that you live in Hartford.  Did you go to High School there, cause I did also?  I live in Theresa.

  • No we moved to hartford about 3 years ago. But we live in Oconomowoc now.
  • Which hospital specifically?  I know one that delivers at St. Francis, but she also delivers at West Allis.

  • I see Dr. Bear who delivers at St. Joe's and I believe West Allis.  His office is close to Mayfair.  I really like him as a doc, the only drawback is that he always seems to be running behind so you can end up sitting in the waiting room for quite a while.  The upside is that you never feel rushed with him as he's willing to give you all the time you need to have all of your questions answered.

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then success with condoms! Who would ever have guessed.

  • I see Dr Irland - she is great!  Very focused on allowing Mom to have the kind of delivery she wants (circumstances allowing of course) and takes the time with you at appts to really answer all of your questions.  She is very friendly and caring.  Another great OB is her colleage, Dr Fox, who is also very nice.  I saw her once when my OB was on vacation and know another mom who used her.  They both work at OB/GYN Affilliates in Brookfield adjacent to Elmbrook Memorial Hospital.  I know both deliver there and Dr Irland also delivers at St Joe's.  I can't say enough good things about Elmbrook Memorial!  The staff there was wonderful during my delivery and it was very relaxing to have a delivery suite!  If she has a choice and is convenient for her, I would deliver there!  I hope that helps!
