Morning

How's everybody? Twice in the last week I forgot my food at home. I'm getting very frustrated with myself.

Re: Morning

  • One week, I forgot my breast pump parts twice.  I was super frustrated with myself.  I broke down and bought a set of spares to keep in my office, and of course I haven't forgotten my parts since.

On the plus side, sounds like you're going out to lunch!

  • Yea, I suppose that's a plus. But I hate going out for lunch. Not that I don't like the food, I just hate the longass lines.

  • This is the second day in a row that I've forgotten my e-ring and wedding ring.  IDK what is going on with me.  DH really can't say anything though because he's lost two wedding rings so far, so he just doesn't wear a ring.

I know where they are...I just keep forgetting to put them on in the morning.

  • I would forget my rings all the time if I took them off at night.  I never wear any jewelry to work aside from them, so it's just not something I think about in the mornings.

  • If I take my rings off at night I have to put them next to my glasses to remember them.

Work is having breakfast and lunch today for us. Breakfast = doughnuts, muffins and brownies. Lunch = hoagies and cheese steaks. Can a woman get a salad? A piece of fruit? Something under a zillion calories? Glad I packed a lunch. I appreciate the thought but I need to pass.

  • schmooo- My kid just went nuts over your signature.

I have errands every day this week- Sam's Club, kid's hair cut, make crap for sFIL's party, LUNCH WITH MY DAD TOMORROW and a trip to Target.  How did I do this crap when I worked?  I can't wait to have lunch with my dad.  He's so excited.  I'm meeting him at his office so his coworkers can meet 6let.

How fun!!  I'm sure everyone will enjoy that.

  • My dad is definitely a proud Poppa.  He's got pics of all his grandkids and shows them off constantly.  All but a few of his coworkers are Japanese and get a kick out of the blue eyes.
  • Glad 6let likes! I love when kids love animals, I'm trying to foster that in my nieces/nephew.

Here's another for his viewing pleasure...sad, I could post cat pictures all day...

My mom was born in Japan and I remember my grandma saying that people were in awe of her blue eyes and red hair.

  • This works in reverse, too.  I am jealous of people around the world with asian babies.  Asian babies are just cuter, imo. <---racist

I just a friendly gal looking for options.

Your mom was born in Japan? Was her Mom/Dad in the military?

  • Yes. My grandpa. Korean war.
  • When we lived in Hawaii, Japanese tourists used to take pictures of me. I had blonde hair and blue eyes, and it was apparently so special that you had to take a photo of it. I laugh about it when I think of some old Japanese lady going through vacation photos from the 80's and I'm a novelty.

I have stuff to do. Do I really want to do it? No. Here's hoping that today, I get called about some interesting job opportunity. I had a woman email me yesterday about wanting to speak on the phone about some possible contracting opportunities.
