As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. from the GBCK town police blotter this week...
they deal w/ shoplifting, drunk driving, drugs, underage drinking...that's about it.
But I giggled at this:
....Since the man was not dressed appropriately for the weather and seemed confused, the officer also suspected he'd been drinking.
Upon speaking with him further, and hearing about how the man's dog "communicated with the paranormal," the officer determined the subject was having some sort of medical issue.An ambulance was called, and he was transported to the hospital for treatment.
And
Man receives free ride, citation
Jan. 1: Very early in the morning while driving southbound... officer observed a male subject walking in the roadway, attempting to flag down motorists as they passed. ... not dressed properly for the weather conditions and appeared to be cold.
The man stated his friends had dropped him off & he had consumed some drinks.
He was trying to get a ride back to his residence. To prevent the subject from freezing to death, the officer told him he would drive him there and obtained consent to search him before allowing him into the vehicle.
Besides getting a ride home courtesy of our taxpayers, the man received a citation for possession/use of the marijuana that was found in his pants pocket.
