I opened my power and gas bill they were both $200.00 Holy Shiit. What happen?
Does anyone have high power and gas bill?
Re: Bills
we have PSEG for Gas so I use their equal payment plan so i pay $160/month instead of paying more in the winter and less in the summer.. its just easier for us that way.
But our electric went up a lot this month.. Oct/Nov it was $90 and Nov/Dec it was $150!
Our electric bill was the same as it was in the last place... $35 dollars i think? we're real good at turning out all lights in rooms we're not in. and at the most, we have on one light, the tv and the pc in the evenings.
Definitely.
We went from $89 last month to $143 this month. But, then again, our bills always jump up during this time of year due to the cold.
I just looked up last year and during the same time we went from $114 to $164. At least we're doing better in comparison, I guess.

I average around $200 total for gas and electric each month. Gas is higher in the winter and electric is higher in the summer. In the in between months we are at around $120 total.
Things you can do to help:
- Close the vents and doors in rooms you don't use.
-Get a programmable thermostat.
