The library costs me money.
I think they should be like Netflix, and then maybe I'd go to them, but I didn't even bother to get a card when we moved up here. I know better. I'll have all these grand plans to get free books, but I'll just end up going once, keeping the books for a year, then skulking back in the dark of night to put them in the book drop and never go back so I don't have to pay the fines.
It's easier just to go to the used bookstore or the thrift shop and get my 10-cent book on. For books I'll keep, I go straight to the Borders and pay real money.
Re: The library costs me money.
Ah, see, before I started making book-buying money I'd go to the library 2-3 times a week. I'd still rack up late fees here and there, but when the librarian knows you all you have to do is say "oops I don't have any cash" and they'll hit a few buttons and erase the fines.
I actually miss the library and should find one out here. I read a lot more when the books were free.
Our library still isn't up. Yep...a city with 125,000 people and we still don't have a permanent library.
FAIL.
