FDA is DOING something about TTC meds

hallelujia.

And WTF did it take this long?

Not to be all "help, help, I'm being repressed"  but if men went through a year+ of not being able to comfortably take NECESSARY meds, I tend to think this would have been dealt with already.

Re: FDA is DOING something about TTC meds

  • You really think the FDA getting involved is going to help the situation?

  • You'd be surprised. FDA requirements for post-marketing research that have been implemented have been helpful in identifying long-term complications in medications that previously were reported in investigator sponsored trials or through anecdotal information. Plus, the ICH guidance on QTc has impacted trial design and development.
  • I actually do.

I'm *good* at researching and do you have any idea how difficult it was to find studies on my drugs?

And, hell, I seemed to be able to find MORE info than the doctors.  And the docs are all "ooooh, not FDA approved for TTC so....nope, liability"  If the FDA looks at it, it should remove *some* of taht.
