This woman I know used to live in Austrailia. She said that once her husband was in a public men's room and dropped his keys on the floor while in there. Another man chased him out the door and said "Hey, American! Are these yours?" Her husband asked how he knew he was an American since he hadn't spoken a work in the restroom and the man told him that he knew because he washed his hands. It makes you wonder why they bother with sinks in public restrooms.
Oh, and speaking as a person who was once nearly smashed to death by a crowd of Parisians late for court and trying to get through one metal detector, I am also a fan of the well organized line.
