I used to love reading when i was a kid. I literally would stay up all night reading and be late for school the next day. I loved the book fairs, and remember the Book it campaign from Pizza Hut? What a great way to encourage children to read.
Anyway somehow or another I stopped reading and would like to start again. My dh always falls asleep before me and I can never all asleep until I'm basically exhausted so I figure maybe if I start reading again it will help me go to sleep and bring back something I used to love.
Any good book recommendations? Anything anyone's reading currently they may suggest?
I'd go to the Book club board but I wanted to see what my fellow CF Nesties are reading first.:)
Re: Read any good books lately?
First of all, I have always loved to read but have had no time lately.
Second of all, OMG I LOVED BOOK IT! It was so great to get your star on your button
I LOVE Stuart Woods. He is my favorite author. I have almost all of his books so come over and borrow! Also, the Memory Keeper's Daughter was a great book. I read it last summer along with another book about Bees. I am going to Border's sometime this week because I have a gift card.
Let me know what the nesties are reading!
"If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane" -- Jimmy Buffett
I read all of the books in David Pelzer's "A Child Called It" series. True stories, so often heartbreaking, but the books were great. They really open up your eyes about child abuse. I also just finished reading "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. This book is about a young girl who was murdered, but her family doesn't know how it happend - she watches from heaven as they all figure out what happened to her. Let's see....I also love Mitch Albom's books - "The Five People You Meet in Heaven," "For One More Day," "Tuesdays with Morrie." All very good books.
Hope this helps! We should start our own CLF book club - what do you think????
I'd be up for a CFL book club!
Just read Flies on the Butter by Denise Hildreth. She is an amazing author. My favorites of hers are the Savannah books.

My blog
I'm currently reading Angels & Demons by Dan Brown and it is great so far!
I'm so out of the loop. What kind of author is Stuart Woods? I'll def take you up on that next time I come over.
Let me know when you're going to Borders. Maybe you can help me pick a book out. So many suggestions from the Nesties I don't know what to pick.
I read Anthem in either high school or early college. I really like her writing style and the way she makes you look at the bad things about putting we before I. Its not so popular but it shows another side to things. I love those philosophical books.
There's so many books to choose from! I love the idea of a book club. What book should we read first? I say something entertaining but profound, that really makes you think.
I can't make a suggestion because I haven't read anything in forever! I'm going to do a bit of research and I'll come back with a suggestion to add to the mix.
I want to try for Thursday. I am "working from home" Also, Sturat Woods is a fiction writer who writes mystery/suspense. GREAT books. I was hooked after the first one!
