Beer tasting menu suggestions?

One of H's labmates bought a bunch of beers from various places he traveled over the holidays. This Saturday, he is bringing the beer to our house and we are going to host the tasting.

This AM we were thinking of menu items. H mentioned tapas or mini-meatball subs. I was thinking of that chicken wing dip you guys talk about and what desert I might bake.

Any suggesitons from you guys would be welcome.

And yes, it would be nice to know what beer he is bringing, but I don't know that. We are talking about boys and their communication skills.

Step away from the wing dip. We do not talk about that dip. EI talks about that dip and we mock them for it. I actually had that wing dip on NYE because a friend of ours brought it over. Almost the entire tray was thrown out at the end of the night. Gross.

 

But to answer your question, I'd just go with bar foods: Nachos or quesadillas, fries, mini burgers, etc.

i would go with the mini-meatball subs, not tapas.  fewer dishes to have to refill.

H makes excellent fries. Could go with a bar theme, or mini-foods. I know the oreo truffles would be a pleaser with that crowd. And it is only seven people.

My dress has already been commisioned, and have hired makeup and lighting folks for the event. I'm trying to get Obama's people on the phone for the decor, but they keep putting me on hold?
